When converting multicast to broadcast you have to use the broadcast address of the destination subnet.
e.g if the interface address of the destination subnet is 172.16.1.0 /28 and you are converting the multicast stream for 224.5.5.5 then your command would be:
ip multicast helper-map 224.5.5.5 172.16.1.15 <with eventual access-list>

remember to enable directed broadcast on the appropriate interfaces.

Nash

In that case the example on the doc cd shows 172.16.0.0 as being the
destination address. But it also makes mention of if you want to broadcast
to all hosts on the subnet use 172.16.0.255. So if my destination was on the
172.16.0.X subnet would I use 172.16.0.255 or 172.16.0.0 ?

   Thanks,
