hello
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fqos
_c/fqcprt4/qcfpolsh.htm#wp1000920
I have read through the above doc several times and I have failed to find
the answer I need
CAR committed access rate , from what I can see , this is just a
description of what policing, rate-limiting and shaping do ,they all give a
CAR
I understand why I would use policing instead of shaping , and what the
difference is ,that makes sense to me.
but
rate-limit V police , Why would I use on over the other , when I do a
feature check they ( to me) seem to do the same thing .
so in the lab what do you believe would point you towards Rate-limit and
away from police .
if this has been discussed in a previous post please let me know , as I have
been unable to find it in the archives
many thanks
Steve
