Both commands work differently..... If you know the particular mac-address
to discard, then option 1 is preferred, more so it will discard only the
addresses you specify, just like..
access-list 1 deny 1.1.1.1
access-list 1 permit any
The second method is useful when you know the mac-addresses, you want to
learn and you do not care about other addresses. Also remember that once you
say 'no bridge 1 acquire' the bridge will stop learning mac-addresses, you
have to manually configure each and every mac-address that you want the
brigde to know ('bridge 1 address <mac-address> forward <interface-id>),
kind of SCARY...:just like...
access-list 1 permit 1.1.1.1
access-list 1 DENY ANY
You can see that, they are actually opposite. Using the second method
without your scenario calling specifically for it, might not be a good ldeal
and have the potential of poking holes into your bridge configuration.
