There are a bunch of major changes between the 3800 and 2600s! Check out
Cisco's website for the details. Your CCIE prep shouldn't be affected too
much because you can still do most of the lab's "challenges" on your
2500/2600s. There are some thing you will want to practice on 2600xms,
2800s, 3700s, or 3800s. You can use a remote rack to practice those topics,
or get a couple of 2801s. Don't get frustrated, don't let sweat the small
stuff. Focus on the core topics, master the other intricacies, get your
speed where it needs to be, and you'll be on the right track! And most of
all, practice, practice, practice!!!

Subject: 2600/2500 vs 3800 [bcc][faked-from]

Dear All
I have just bought 7 routers 2500/2600. But i was suprised to see that cisco
is replacing these routers with 3875 modular routers.
I have 12.3 on 2500/2600. Will my CCIE prep get affected if i prepare with
2500/2600 ?
Is there any major changes between 3800 and 2600 ?

Please advice- quite frustuated after settingup the home lab.

Regards
N Mohamed
