But, let me just confirm something very important with you -

No matter what, I can implement any feature and any module (FWSM, CSM, NAM,
etc) using either CatOS or IOS and there's no difference in cost, right?

Also, do you know if there's a cost if one changes their mind - for example,
the 6500 is purchased with CatOS and later on it's decided to use IOS? I
assume that as long as the switch is covered by a Smartnet contract, this
wouldn't cost anything but I don't really know.

Lots of L2 stuff .... Stick with CatOS.

Lots of Routing/L3 stuff (OSM Support) .... Go with IOS/Native

Whatever you order it with is what it comes with.
