Does VRRP support Stateful NAT??

I am not sure that it does, therefore another differentiator.

Although not a technical differentiator but maybe part of lab question:

HSRP = proprietary
VRRP = IETF standard

Subject: Comparing HSRP and VRRP

Hi,

Just looking for opinions and input.

Comparing HSRP and VRRP, I conclude:

VRRP has preempt on by default, therefore does not need it configured like
HSRP does.
HSRP can use enhanced object tracking
(to track more than just line protocol up/down as follows)
track 100 interface serial1/0 ip routing
interface Ethernet0/0
standby 1 track 100 decrement 10
I do not see a command option for VRRP to use track, even though the
enhanced object tracking documentation suggets there is. So I conclude VRRP
cannot track the status of one of its interfaces like HSRP can.
To load balance between routers, HSRP and VRRP can have different groups to
prefer different routers, but anything more sophisticated required GLBP
Any comments or other differentiators?

Chris
