I would say the IE workbooks are comparable to the lab

I've being working the IE workbooks, and I find them really challenging.
I wonder:

Who those exercises compare to the actual test, in terms of:

1- Complexity
2- Time needed to solve it
3- Number of subjects evaluated on a single exam
