Chaps,

My thoughts:-

I run 2 x 2500's in my lab at home. 16m flash and 16m ram. Bargin
basement stuff - didn't cost me a penny for the routers as they were
being thrown out and I bought the extra memory off ebay for just under
#20. I run 12.2-15T on them and boy do they struggle. But they run it
and that's thats the main thing.

I wouldn't bother putting 12.3 on them - I think you would see smoke
coming out of it's ears. Also - I've had a look on cco at the ios
versions and there is not a
"T" offering for the 2500's and there is nothing for them in 12.4

I think that they will always make great backbone routers and should be
a welcome addition to any lab, after all - they will still run 80% + of
all the things you should need them to and they don't cost a great deal.

I also like their "hardcore networking" rugged looks. Mine are totally
battered, but they still do the job!!
