Ivan,
Vlan dot1q tag native
This command is to support dot1q tunneling over SP networks such that a
customers native vlan traffic (e.g. untagged dot1q vlan traffic) does
not "leak" out into the SP network.
So, put another way, with this command, I can have a customer that I'm
doing dot1q tunneling for across multiple vlans. When I, the SP, see
native untagged dot1q frames, I will assume that they should be tagged
into another vlan which I will specify with the native vlan x command.
So, in effect, I can support my customers trunking requirements across
my own switched infrastructure without impacting my own internal vlan
stracture.
HTH,
Andy
