My home lab had a lot of token ring. You can practice a lot of technologies
with the token. You won't be able to trunk. That is one thing. I am sure
there are a couple other things you won't be able to do, but you will be
able to practice a lot of features. OSPF, BGP and the routing protocols are
media independent and an important part of the lab. You will be able to
configure all of that if you have the right ios.

Chris

Subject: 2502 router

Hi,
I have got 3 Cisco 2502 routers (2 Serial and 1 Token Ring) from work, will
it be a help for my home lab as it doesn't have the ethernet port???
 Thanks,
Sam
