 You can do a lot with those routers, especially if they're free. If you
can find some old equipment (MAU or "switch") to plug those TR interfaces
into to bring them up then you can do a lot of LAN scenarios also.
Obviously Ethernet-dependent scenarios won't work but many of the LAN
technologies don't care what the L2 is.
