I'm pretty certain that the VTP advertisement would be passed marking
the vlan as an RSPAN vlan, but you would still have to create the vlan
on the transparent mode switch.

Is it a must to use VTP to propagate RSPAN vlan (i.e. all switches in
the path from source to destination switch running VTP server/client)?

If all switches are transparent mode and added RSPAN vlan in all
switches (surely using the vlan-id < 1024 and adding remote-span in this
vlan), does it work ?
