With ospf the bandwidth is used to derive the OSPF cost. If you force
the cost to be a certain value using the "IP OSPF COST" interface
command, then this cost will be used for the OSPF calculation versus the
bandwidth derived cost. You can verify the interface cost by using the
"SH IP OSPF INTERFACE" COMMAND.

Subject: ip ospf cost command
Will the "ip ospf cost command" override any bandwidth settings on the
interface? for example say I have two links with the command ip ospf
cost
100 and I change the bandwidth to 1 will OSPF see this and coverage
routing
to the other link? or will it ignore it because I used the ip ospf cost
command on the interface.
Thanks,
Mike
