Thanks John et al,

Manage to fix the problem. For some reason I could not get any response
from the router via a direct roll cable, however when I tried to connect via
a Terminal server, the router was responsive (strange!!)

simon,
it may or may not be related, but i had this symptom a few weeks back,
something in the config was screwing up the OS from getting past "press
return to get started". the fix was performing password recovery, then
deleting the config and rebooting.

If you have another 2500 flash and dram in working order, I would replace
them just to make sure memory hasn't become corrupted.

After this I would go for xmodem using a basic IP image. With a bit of luck
this should bring you back to CLI.

Hi all,

Wonder if someone can help. I was trying to change an image on one of my
2500's. The tftp failed, however I think the router erased the original
image. Now when I switch on the router I cannot get to the command line,
the following is the output of the reboot. I get the press Return to start
prompt, but nothing else happens. Is there anything I can do to remedy
this??
