You could also change the escape character under the VTY lines.

IE-AS(config)#line vty 0 4
IE-AS(config-line)#escape-character ?
  BREAK Cause escape on BREAK
CHAR or <0-255> Escape character or its ASCII decimal equivalent
  DEFAULT Use default escape character
  NONE Disable escape entirely
soft Set the soft escape character for this line

Subject: execute a command after user login

Hi Group,

I want to change the escape character automatically after login

username ccie nohangup password cisco
username ccie autocommand terminal escape-character Z

But the above configuration doesn't work.

if I don't add "nohangup" command, the command prompt will quit after
sucessful login

How can I accomplish it? because I don't want to type this command
whenever I login. Thanks !

Ryan
