Paul,
the exact same thing happened to me for the same date.
I booked my date in June for the 12th December and got the same mail from
Cisco saying they were dropping my date.
I sent a mail to ccie@cisco.com but am still waiting for the response.
I'll let you know what response I get, if any.
Its a bit of a hassle as the next available dates are in January.
