Sparse mode under lo0 in case of Static RP

Guys,

1- In static RP where I need to configure the RP statically on all the
multicast routers via "ip pim rp-address" command....if I configure this
RP-address to be lo0 of the RP, do I need to enable "ip pim sparse-mode"
under lo0 or not??

2- And in case of auto-rp, I know that I need to enable "ip pim
sparse-dense-mode" under the lo0 of the RP but do I need to do the same
under lo0 of the Mapping Agent?
