 If R2 is not configured for multicast, maybe a tunnel between R1 and R3
would suffice. But if R2 is running PIMv2, like all the routers, they all
will certainly receive the BSR info. from the elected BSR, because it is
flooded hop by hop. The BSR information contains the data all the PIM
routers need to determine who the RP is. Auto rp-listener would not be
needed. Again, my opinion here.
