Hi all,
I do it for my own sake... just to learn a bit more... Call me freaky, I
love routers and I love being challenged, and CCIE really does challenge
you. I'm a cisco certified trainer and I love learning.
Of course, having a CCIE might increase your salary... or at least gives you
the opportinity to go to better-considered positions. Since I work for
another networking equipment manufacturer, I don't think I'll get a salary
increase ;), maybe I miss routing (we mainly switch/route securily).
... another side motivation... the $$$$ I've paid for the
exam/flight/hotel...
"Alea jacta est"... my suffering is due to end on friday (I hope).
Best regards
Hictor

Subject: Getting and Staying Motivated

I barely have time to breath much less study. After a long day of staring at
router configurations or sniffer traces at work all day the last thing I
want to do is log into a router and start configuring BGP scenarios.

long journey to CCIE?
