Nat-pt part II

I need to rephrase my questions on nat-pt.

I know how to advertise the v6 and v4 routes to the
sources/destinations. I know that the nat-pt function defines either
dynamic or static v4v6 - v6v4 source and destination translations.

What I don't know and need to understand is the purpose of this command:

Ipv6 nat prefix x:x:x:x:x::/x

Reason: If I statically define the v4v6 and the v6v4 translations, and
I am advertising the v4 and v6 addresses appropriately... what is the
function of telling the router the v6 prefix???

Thanks in advance,

andy
