Hi Group,

I am in the final stages of my CCIP cert ( currently preparing for my last
exam , MPLS) and am aiming to sit for CCIE Service provider written exam in
Dec 2005. In order to plan my upcoming studies on this Service provider
track , I need to ask the following questions and I really appreciate if you
can help me in answering them.

1) What Cisco press book is recommended for CCIE Service provider written
exam ? And is CCIE Service provider written exam is a generic one , just
like R & S one ? Or I need to choose the *specialisation* such as DSL or
Optus or Metro Ethernet or IP telephony ? If I need to choose one of these
specialisations in the written exam itself ( but I imagine , it should be at
lab stage ? ) then which specialisation carry more marketability with in
Telco or service provider world ?

2) secondly the fact that I will be sitting for SP written exam after I
complete my CCIP cert , I reckon I should be able to handle the written exam
with out much trouble once I go through above requested Cisco press written
exam prep book . is this a fair comment ?

3) And come Jan 2006 , I am planning to kick off my SP Lab prep. Regarding
Lab preparation , which workbook do you recommend ? I am keen to get my
hands on
IE's R & S kind of work book with an excellent break down explanations of
each task , rather than simple plain solutions. But I doubt it on whether IE
is offering SP workbooks ? And I have not seen IPExpert's or Trinet's SP
workbook just yet. But I gather both are good ?

4) Fourthly which online rack rentals is better ( or cheaper should I say)
for these SP track's lab workbook practice.

5) And finally I gather that after Jan 2006, Service provider LAB exam will
still be having ATM , ISIS , ISDN ..etc those were getting vanished from R&S
lab exams. Is this correct information ?

Thanks for any feedback...

- David
