I wouldn't freak out about the equipment change, a lot of the core
functionality is the same in the newer models. It might be helpful to use
rented equipment rather than your own at this point, though mine was not
quite at the same level as the exam. I had to bend some things
(proverbially) to get them to do what I wanted. For example, I had a single
2912-XL-EN switch instead of a 3550, so I used VLAN trunking and a router to
simulate the layer three functions. It didn't always cover the complete
scenario but it did get close....
Being able to problem solve like that and improvise helps a lot.
