You need to make sure the DHCP server supplies that information without
being asked to. Most options are not ALWAYS sent, and the IP phones are
notorious for not always asking for everything they need.

Subject: IP phone problem with TFTP , MS DHCP question
Guys ;
I have 7960 phone , i am running TFTP server on the callmanager itself ..the
TFTP server is working fine and tested .
the problem is that the phones contact DHCP and retrieve everything
correctly except the IP address of the TFTP server ...for some reason it
keeps previoulsy configured ones .
i am also not able to change the tftp server manually on the phones because
cofig is locked and i need to download new config file to get rid of the
old ones .
the question is , is there any trick on the DHCP of the windows which i need
to do to let these phones get the correct address ...i have configured both
option 66 and 150 but no luck , or is there a way to test that the sever is
really returing those values and how
the phones are running SIP load
thanks
