Hi All,
I just read this link :
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/cisintwk/intsolns/mcst_sol/frm_rlay.htm
and tested it on the lab.
I use debug ip mpacket and no ip mroute-cache.
00:56:54: IP: s=192.168.34.4 (Serial0/0.1) d=235.35.35.35 len 104, mroute olist null ps
00:56:54: IP: s=172.1.1.1 (Serial0/0.1) d=235.35.35.35 len 104, mroute olist null ps
the output above is taken from spoke which doesn't have any member attached to it.
(but still receive multicast packet)
And it can be stopped after ip pim nbma-mode configured.
for dense group, it can't be stopped even after ip pim nbma-mode configured.
my question is :
based on this, is it always required to configure ip pim nbma-mode on multicast over frame relay ?
thanks
Rgds,
Thomwin
