Are we required to ping local FR interface ?

Greetings,

What are your thoughts on the requirement to ping the
local FR interface ?

ie if I have the following config

int s0
encap frame
ip add 10.10.1.1 255.255.255.0
frame map ip 10.10.1.2 102 broadcasr
frame map ip 10.10.1.1 102

Do I need to configure the last statement to meet the
exam requirement of pinging any-to-any
