Brian,
        The initial configuration for R6 should have the IP address
assigned to the ATM interface. See if your initial configuration
doesn't include the IP address under the ATM interface. If not login to
the member's site and download the latest version of the initial
configurations.

Hi Brian (s),
Lab 17 IEWBv1, task 3 (ATM) requires making the pvc 0/51 on R6.
R6 should be able to ping BB1's ip address 54.1.3.254.

The solution is:
!
interface atm 0/0/0
 pvc 0/51
  broadcast
!

I don't have atm sw to test it. However i don't think you can ping the
BB1
without ip add configured on atm interface.
