MLPPP Interleaving on ATM

Little confuse about MLPPP Interleaving. IOS complains about not configuring service-policy. I read a Cisco DOC saying that MLPPP is required to configure service-policy, but I just want to configure MLPPP and LFI. Could we do not consider the IOS warning without problem?
