Hi Jacky,
I'd tell you the register value but I don't remember it exactly - there was
a 4 in it and a 2 but I'm not that sure of the rest.
I was able to fix the problem with the help of Jeff of Bradshawlabs by using
the global command, config-reg and reloading which was the first time I had
ever used this technique.
I wonder if this technique can be used on any model router or if it only
applies to specific models.
I also found out from another post that cisco has a page which tells you
what key or key combo to use for the break key with several popular telnet
client such as HyperTerm.
Thanks for your reply.
Tim

Hi Tim,
tell me current register value (show version)
I think the bit disable break was set. (register eight bit, ex: 0x2002,
default is 0x2102)
if that is in the case, only one way to choise, you must open your router to
reset the register.
Jacky,
