Steve,
1. From your topology, R1, does not need the NO-SUMMARY keyword,
because it is not an ABR.
2. The default route route that R1 is seeing, is the ones generated by
R3 and R2 because of the NO-SUMMARY keyword with their nssa config,
and since this default is a type 3 LSA (inter-area), it will be
preferred to the E1 default coming from R5 or R6 irrespective of the
status of R5 or R6.
