OSPF Authentication

Hi,
I have Hub and 2 spokes as shown below
 
                            -----------------(s0)R2
R1(s0.1 multipoint) |
                            -----------------(s0)R3
 
How can i configure ospf authentication (MD5) between R1 and R2 only?
I've configured it as shown below and R1&R2 are working fine but R3 doesn't work?
can anyone help me?

ip ospf authentication message-digest
ip ospf message-digest-key 1 md5 cisco
R2
