Again, the scenario will list the requirements and also what you cannot do.
Any additional configs, provided they comply with the previous two points I
made, are okay to use. The grading makes sure that you have the minimum
configs required and that the requirements for functionality are met. Any
additional config is ignored. For example, I always add command alias
statements and router ID numbers.

If in the lab you are asked to put loopbacks into OSPF, but not explicity
told which areas can you use any area number of your choosing. For example
on one router I may wish to add a loopback to area 0 (area 0 is not already
on this router) in order to make subsequent tasks work.
