Zeng,
As a rule of thumb, do not leave off the dial number in the
dialer map. You can experience inconsistent problems with connectivity
when leaving it off (different configurations, IOS versions, etc).
Anything that doesn't work 100% of the time should not be used in the
lab.
As far as the name in the dialer map goes, try leaving it off
when doing PPP callback.

Subject: ISDN name and dialing number
Hi:
Could any one tell me in the dialer map of ISDN, when should I use key
word "name" and when it is not necessary, and when I must include
dialing number, and when I can skip the dialing number.
It seems to me as long as you want to make traffic as interesting
traffic, you need to include dialing number. other cases not necessary
like map clns. How about the name then? It looks like even if I use
wrong name the link will come up too.
Thanks
Zeng
