  I done IEWB lab (# 3? ) recently and your # 1 seem to functional otherwise:

  So I think the " dialer idle-timeout " will not disconnect your ISDN in this case. I can not test it at that time ( have a 12.2 on 2503 ) since the " dialer watch-list disconnect " is not available .
 May be someone can run & validate with debug ppp packet.
