Since the specific distance command for EIGRP does not support routes
filtering function, the other distance can do it. The inconvenience here is
you have to choose the external routes yourself. In route redistribution,
EIGRP always causes trouble with sub-optimal routing because routes form
other domain redistributed into EIGRP have distance of 170 that is high
enough compare with OSPF 110 ISIS 115 RIP 120. The result is that routers
use paths through other domain instead of paths to their neighbours in EIGRP
domain. If the task requires nothing but redistribution, everything still
works fine with ping script but we'll lose point here with sub-optimal
routing.
