You also need to remember that the neighbor statement is configured using
the neighbor's link-local address, and that you will probably also need a
frame map for the neighbor's link-local address, if you want to be able to
ping the routes.

Thanks Marvin. I appreciate the feedback.
So, it sounds like the rules for using the neighbor command with ospf v3 are
exactly the same as with ospf over ipv4. If the neighbor command would be
needed with ipv4, then it will be needed with ipv6. And, likewise, if the
neighbor wouldn't be needed with ipv4, then it won't be needed with ipv6. Is
that correct?
Assuming that's true, then the only thing different I need to remember is
that the neighbor command in ipv6 in on the interface instead of under the
routing process which would be great.

With a network type of nonbroadcast, you will need a neighbor statement.
With a network type of broadcast, you don't need a neighbor statement. The
neighbor statement only needs to be configured on one side

Hi guys,
The Doc-CD says that when running ospf v3 on nbma networks, you must
configure the neighbor command but it doesn't elaborate.
Does this mean the neighbor command must be configured on both sides of the
vc and is this command required regardless of what type of ospf network is
specified?
TIA, Tim
