Tim,
If you read the doccd on verify-availability option, it really comes
down to stopping the ARP process from continuing forever during a
successful policy route where the next hop ip is no longer available.
I think they're looking for match ip next-hop <acl>. Sounds like a
weird lab request, as usual, but if I'm asked to redistrubute static
routes that have a matching next-hop IP, I can pretty well bet you that
I will statically input the routes with the correct next-hop value! 8)
HTH,
Andy

Subject: Features requiring cdp
Hi guys,
I know of 2 features that require cdp in order to work:
a) ODR and
b) the verify-availability option of policy routing
I can't think of any other features but I'm sure there must be.
Can anyone think of other features that require cdp?
TIA, Tim
