Cisco IP phones use it to negotiate a voice VLAN and also I believe the
correct amount of power.
CatOS uses it for layer 2 traceroute

Subject: Features requiring cdp
Hi guys,
I know of 2 features that require cdp in order to work:
a) ODR and
b) the verify-availability option of policy routing
I can't think of any other features but I'm sure there must be.
Can anyone think of other features that require cdp?
TIA, Tim
