R1 (fast 0/0) --------------------- (fast 0/0) R2

I want to make R1 a dhcp server and R2 is a static
client and I have the the following config

ip dhcp pool Mars
host 172.16.2.254
hardware-address 02c7.f800.0422 ieee802
client-name Mars

int fast 0/0
ip add 172.16.2.1 255.255.255.0

Int fast 0/0
Ip add dhcp

This config does not assign ip address to R2 can any
one help?
