Dillon,

I could not see the contradiction in the two docs. The second link is
saying one can suppress a subnet by just using "passive" on the
interface". Yes, the statement assumes "e1" is also the 131.108.0.0 subnet.

router eigrp 109
network 131.108.0.0
passive-interface ethernet 1
neighbor 131.108.20.4

Generally in documentation, printed version is not as reliable as
online (or soft ) copy.
