Thanks to all that replied,
Is now fixed. Although I added a port to the Vlan, I now notice that the
ports I added were not in the up/up state.
Thanks
Simon

Simon,
In addition to creating the vlan, will have to have an active port assigned,
or the vlan will have to be allowed across an active trunk. Is there at
least
on active port that permit the vlan?

Subject: Interface VLAN problem
Hi,
I have come across a problem that is throwing me a bit. Whilst going
through one of the Internetworkexpert Labs (Lab 14), I have found that I
cannot make the line protocol come up on my Interface VLAN's.
I have created an Interface VLAN on both switches, assigned an IP
addressed
and given the no shut command. I have also created the VLAN by issuing
the
command vlan 8 under the config prompt.
The VLAN just fails to come up and the subnet is not present in the
routing
table. I am a little lost as to what is going on, any help??
Thanks
Simon
