Interface VLAN problem

Hi,

I have come across a problem that is throwing me a bit. Whilst going
through one of the Internetworkexpert Labs (Lab 14), I have found that I
cannot make the line protocol come up on my Interface VLAN's.

I have created an Interface VLAN on both switches, assigned an IP addressed
and given the no shut command. I have also created the VLAN by issuing the
command vlan 8 under the config prompt.

The VLAN just fails to come up and the subnet is not present in the routing
table. I am a little lost as to what is going on, any help??

Thanks

Simon
