Hi Robin,
I've done a copy and paste of you config in the switch in a 3750. Everything
seems to be normal. I don't get the "no spanning-tree vlan XXX" command in
global config mode. I'm using IOS c3750-i5-mz.121-19.EA1d.bin on the
switches,
Regards,
henk

Question on MST on 3550s
Whilst setting up mst to overcome the 128 stp limitations for a Lab I
noticed that every vlan from 128 - to say 1000 shows up in the
running-config as "no spanning-tree vlan XXX"
Ive tested the mst by mapping vlan 1-1000 to instance 1 and can see from the
output that vlan 200 for example is participating in mst correctly and gig
0/1 is blocking so am a bit confused as to why the running-config would lead
me to believe other wise.
Answers on a postcard please:-)
Config example
spanning-tree mode mst
spanning-tree extend system-id
no spanning-tree vlan 129
no spanning-tree vlan 130
no spanning-tree vlan 200
etc etc
spanning-tree mst configuration
name XXX
revision 1
instance 1 vlan 1-1000
VLAN example
Switch#sh spanning-tree vlan 200
MST01
