Spanning-tree portfast should be configured on the physical port itself.
I have not tried to put it on the vlan interface. Is it even an option? I
do not have access to a switch at the moment.

Subject: port fast on a switch
Hi Group,
If the question ask to enable portfast on vlan 2 interfaces(fa 0/2 and fa
/4) , the command spanning-tree portfast should be given on physical
interfaces or vlan 2 logical interface.
