First off you're going to need more than 48 ports if you've got 50 PCs
:) Beyond that, you need to consider the voice side of things carefully
before buying equipment. You'll need voice connectivity to the outside
world, so contact a local telco. They'll be more than happy to send out
a sales-droid to evaluate your calling patterns, and recommend a number
of voice channels into your location. Since you're starting from
scratch, you may want to consider an IP telephony system (like Call
Manager) rather than a traditional PBX. I believe with 50 phones, you
can get a router (rather than server) based Call Manager system. But
I'm not a CM guy either...

Subject: Call center help
Hey,
I have this task of setting up a call center of 50 PCs. It is my first
time dealing with setting up a call center. Need guidance here.
I would need a PBX, and router with FSX interface. and a 48 port
Ethernet switch. My question is how many FSX interfaces would I need in
the router to support 50 PCs. I would really appreciate any help here.
Thanks,
Noor
