I will miss voice. It was fun, reasonably straightforward, and made QOS
material more keenly relevant and interesting. It was expensive ($1300
new for the voice modules- the things were going for just as much used
as new then), but one of the big expenses was the need for 2600 routers,
at least. Now we need 2600s (or XMs) in a really good lab rack anyway.
I have considered buying ATM equipment so I can write some full-blown
CCIE practice labs, but I have been concerned that if I buy ATM
equipment, Cisco will take it off the lab the day after I put it in my
rack.
Best regards,
