Re: Has anybody here let their CCIE re-cert deadline pass?

I am one of those guys who let my cert go into suspension for about 11
months before taking (well, before passing) my recert. The earlier thread
is right -- you will be due to recert next year. Since my status showed
valid until 2005, I went ahead and took it again / passed the next week and
now I am valid until 2007. I have to admin I thought about taking it like
5 times while the material was fresh to be done for another decade -- lol
-- but as per the web site "CCIEs are required to pass one CCIE written
exam within the 24-month period preceding their recertification deadline."

Hope that helps,

Everyone,

Thanx for this feedback. It sounds like the good news is I can get my
CCIE back but the bad news is I'm not going to get away with a "1-day
bone-up cram session" the day before I take the test. It looks like
there is alot of new material based on what I'm hearing as well as some
old annoying material (calculating SRB RIF's etc...)

For those of you who let it lapse or waited till the last minute: What
prevents us from turning around and re-taking it 3 or 4 days later, to
get not 2, but 4 more years on the game clock? Can I satisfy the
requirements through 2008 this way?
