John,
I dont know if this is specific to my vconsole isdn simulator , but on home
lab when doing setup with backup interface .... If I make an LMI mismatch
between the ISDN backup router and the connected main serial interface ...
It works ... So say your frame switch is sending cisco .... On your DTE
change LMI to something else and it comes out of backup.... I have always
been curious if this is specific to various ISDN simulators or not ... Cause
I have seen others that didnt work when mismatching lmi type and shutting
main interface ???

Subject: backup interface question

is it true that with backup interface, if you shut down the local serial
interface that the backup is defined on, it won't dial - you have to shut
down
the other end of the pvc? ....< i seem to rember being able to shut down
the
local end and having the router dial but it isn't coming out of standby>
