If you are sure your VTP domain name / password are same by either
changing.... So you know for sure your server will start with VTP
revision
0.... Then the next thing to do which is very common on 3550 is to
delete
vlan.dat file try this:
router# rename flash:vlan.dat vlan.old
Then reload router.... Router will recreate vlan.dat for you with
default
configruation... Then set :
vtp domain cisco
vtp password cisco
Then make a few vlans and should be up on other / client side....

Have you tried setting the VTP version to 2? I have seen several
situations
where all the settings matched on both sides, but the VLAN information
was
not exchanged. Also, have you tried rebooting one or both switches?
