It was not clear from ur Q what has to be done completely. Are u saying a 3550 is trunked to a router with 3 Gig ports liek below. Which scenario Q is this ? so that I can look at it.

IP phone ----3550 ============= Router
                           -------------------------

If above is the case (depending on the Q) the Cos and IP Prec set by phone needs to be trusted on the incoming port. IP phone set both to 5. So the same needs to remarked on the router in port as the Cos and IP prec will be reset by the router.

are on their own vlan, so can I just set priority-queue out and set the
phone ports to cos=5? Which layer 2 qos can I set on the router to lock
down qos from traffic from the router down to the switches.
