Hello Jonathan,
The people that create the CCIE labs are the proctors I believe. I don't
think the proctors themselves have the time to attend the bootcamps,
listen to the audios and read the practical studies and lab guides. They
may have some specific internal training, but, I do know that one of the
proctors did write the new cisco press lab practice book. And they are
going to be putting a sample lab on their website. There is also a lab
blueprint, before the blueprint, I can tell you there was much more that
had to be covered. Good Luck with your exam.

Subject: Schrodinger's Cat...

Is it possible that those who create the CCIE labs attend the bootcamps,
listen to the audio CDs and read the Practical Studies and lab guides to
make sure that there is something on the lab that is not covered by
these
courses/docuements?

I ask, because the breadth and scope of testable material is nearly
limitless, and I would suspect that everyone who has taken the lab has
come
across something they have never seen or heard of before.

There was an old theory that Microsoft and Cisco were offended if anyone
got
a perfect score on their exams, so they through in one completely
idiotic
question to ensure this didn't happen, ('when bit three of the third
octet
in a FDDI frame header is set to 0, it means what?').

Then again, since most certifications do not score their exams anymore
(IOW,
they don't tell you how you did, just whether you passed or failed) this
may
not be the case any more.
